Incident Reporting and Mandatory Reporting of Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation
In this program, caregivers will learn how to report incidents and what it means to be a Mandatory Reporter. You’ll find out how to recognize signs of abuse, neglect, mistreatment, or exploitation—and what to do if you see or suspect something is wrong. You’ll also learn how to write down what happened, what steps were taken to look into the situation, and how the agency plans to keep it from happening again. These reports are saved in a special agency log. Caregivers may also need to document incidents in communication notes or other forms.
