This program teaches why it’s important to protect a client’s private health information. As a caregiver, you will learn what kind of information must be kept private and how to handle it the right way.

Sharing someone’s private health details without permission can hurt them—and it’s against the law. The goal is to protect people’s privacy while still allowing health information to be shared in safe and helpful ways to support good care and protect public health.

You’ll learn when it’s okay to share information and when it’s not. Keeping information safe is part of keeping clients safe.
